After School Academic Program (ASAP) - School of Modern Skills

SMS is delighted to launch our ASAP Program for English and Arabic instruction. The program will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The duration of the club will cover 5 weeks, with a total of 10 sessions. As we continue Identify ways to better meet the needs of our students the program will expand to include other subjects.

The SMS ASAP Program will be offered to Grades 1 through Grades 12 boys and girls. This program will be paid in advance for 10 sessions and the total would be 800 AED.

Program Benefits:

Assessments

ASAP provides students with additional time and resources to reinforce the material covered in class. Teachers offer personalized attention, identify areas where the student struggles, and provide targeted support. This extra practice and guidance can lead to improved performance on assessments such as quizzes, tests, and standardized exams.

Literacy

The SMS ASAP offers specialized literacy support. Teachers work with students on reading comprehension, vocabulary development, writing skills, and critical thinking. By focusing on these fundamental literacy skills outside of regular school hours, students can make significant progress in their overall academic abilities.

Next Grade Promotion

If a student is struggling academically, particularly in key subjects like English or Arabic, ASAP can provide the additional help they need to learn the content necessary to move to the next grade. By addressing areas of weakness and building foundational knowledge, students are better equipped to meet the requirements for promotion to the next grade level.

College Entrance

For high school students preparing for college entrance exams such as the PSAT, SAT, EMSAT, and IELTS, the ASAP can be invaluable. Teachers help students review content, develop test-taking strategies, and practice with sample questions and exams. Additionally, teachers can assist with college application essays, ensuring that students present themselves effectively to admissions committees.

Key Points To Remember

The ASAP Program will provide remediation and intervention targeted support on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for English and Arabic from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Attendance during the ASAP Program will be taken on a daily basis. Missed sessions will not be refunded or made up.

Post-assessments will be given at SMS. The ASAP Program is a great opportunity for students to work on revision.
