School of Modern Skills is seeking a dedicated Literacy Specialist to lead innovative literacy strategies, particularly for English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners.
As part of our Leadership Team, you’ll drive English literacy improvements school-wide, utilizing data to inform practices, ensuring accountability for outcomes, and guiding targeted interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
o Literacy Leadership: Implement a comprehensive literacy strategy and manage programs that advance literacy for all grades.
o Data-Driven Improvement: Analyze performance data and establish measurable goals to enhance instruction and monitor progress.
o Culturally Responsive Instruction: Design programs that reflect student diversity and incorporate culturally relevant themes.
o Professional Development: Facilitate workshops, mentor teachers, and integrate literacy best practices across subjects.
o Student Engagement: Lead enrichment activities and promote a positive literacy culture through school events.
o Collaboration: Partner with parents and external organizations to support literacy development.

Qualifications: Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s in Education or related field required.
